We are looking forward to seeing you. A few notes so you know what to expect and can arrive relaxed. In practice it is all very straightforward, and our aim is simply to make your visit effective, comfortable and genuinely enjoyable.
Many people arrive a little unsure of what a first appointment involves. There is no need to be. Your first visit begins with an unhurried conversation about what has brought you in, followed by a careful assessment of how you move and where the trouble really sits. From there we explain what we have found and talk you through what would help.
Some people like to understand exactly what is going on and why; others would rather simply be looked after. Both are completely fine. We will explain as much or as little as you would like, and everything is done with care, at a pace that suits you. Nothing is rushed or forced.
Come along at your appointment time; there is no need to arrive early. Wait in the comfortable waiting room, or stay in your car and we will come and collect you, whichever you prefer. Toilet facilities are available throughout your visit.
Your first visit is a consultation, a careful assessment and a postural screen: time spent on your history, how you move, and how your body is holding and coordinating itself. It is about building the full picture first, so hands-on treatment may or may not form part of that first day, depending on what we find. Whenever it does, the treatment room and couch are freshly prepared and thoroughly cleaned for every patient.
You leave knowing what is going on and what happens next, mapped out for you specifically: what we have found, what we would recommend, and how any care would be spaced to suit you. Nothing here is one-size-fits-all.
From the moment you arrive, you are in experienced hands. We take the time to understand you as a whole person, not a set of symptoms, so that you feel listened to, cared for, and clear about what happens next.
There is nothing to bring and nothing to prepare. Come as you are, and tell us anything relevant when you arrive. If there is anything specific that would help on the day, we will let you know when we confirm your appointment.
Please come unaccompanied where possible. If you are under 18 a parent or guardian will need to be with you, and you are very welcome to bring someone if you would feel more comfortable with a chaperone; just let us know in advance so we can set up for it.
Life happens. If you are unwell or something comes up, just let us know as soon as you can and we will find you a better time. There is a charge for cancelling inside forty-eight hours, set out in our terms of service, and we would far rather understand than apply it. Anything you need before your visit, call or text us on 07773 814488.
Everything is done with care and at a pace that suits you, and nothing is rushed or forced. The aim throughout is simple: that you feel in good hands, understood, and steadily better.
