Neck pain & headaches

A stiff, aching neck and the headaches that so often come with it can wear you down like little else. Both are extremely common, closely connected, and usually very treatable. We help people of every age and activity level turn their head freely again and get on top of the headaches.

Understanding it

Why necks ache and heads pound

It might be a neck that will not turn when you reverse the car, an ache that builds across the shoulders through the working day, a band of pressure around the head, or pain that sits behind one eye. Many headaches actually begin in the neck: when its muscles and joints become tight, guarded or irritated, pain is commonly felt in the head and face as well. That link is also why treating the neck so often eases the headaches.

We help with neck pain and stiffness, tension-type headaches, jaw and facial tension, and pain that spreads into the shoulder, upper back or arm, involving the muscles, fascia, joints and nerves of the neck and upper spine. Common starting points include desk and screen work, long hours driving, an awkward night's sleep, whiplash or another accident, stress and clenching, or a gradual build with no single cause. We assess carefully, explain what we find in plain language, and shape care around you.

What to expect

From first call to feeling better

What is likely going on

Most neck pain and many headaches trace back to tight, overworked muscles and joints rather than anything sinister. Finding the pattern is the first step.

How we assess it

Your first visit is a conversation and a careful look at how your neck, shoulders and posture work together, not just where it hurts.

What getting better looks like

A clear plan, hands-on care where it helps, and simple changes to the habits that keep feeding it. Progress reviewed and adjusted as you improve.

What it means for you

Imagine a day without it

A full turn of the head at the junction, a working day that does not end in a headache, an evening with nothing pressing behind your eyes. That is the aim, and for most people it is closer than they think.

The right care for this

Where this usually leads

Reassurance

Safe, gentle, and at your pace

Everything is done with care and at a pace that suits you, and nothing is rushed or forced. The aim throughout is simple: that you feel in good hands, understood, and steadily better.
