Using this website, our care, our fees and cancellations, changing your mind, and putting things right when they go wrong.
In short. Give us as much notice as you can if you cannot make an appointment, and there is nothing to pay. Inside forty-eight hours there is a charge, and we would far rather understand than apply it. Everything on this website is information, not a diagnosis. If we get something wrong, tell us, and we will put it right.
SPORTS CLINICAL is a practice of two independent practitioners at Default Blue House, 16 Torgate Lane, Bassingham, Lincoln, LN5 9HF. Dean Haspey trades as SPORTS CLINICAL. Rebecca Gallop is self-employed and works under the same banner with her own patients. Your agreement is with the practitioner who treats you.
Telephone Dean on 07773 814488 or Rebecca on 07791 214043. Email info@sportsclinical.co.uk.
Everything here is general information about what we do. It is not a diagnosis, and it is not advice about your own situation. We cannot know what is going on with you until we have assessed you, and nothing on this site should be used as a reason to delay seeing your GP or going to hospital. If you are seriously unwell or badly hurt, do not read a website. Call 111, or 999 if it is urgent.
We keep the site accurate and current as best we can, but we do not promise it is free of errors, or that it will always be available. We may change it at any time.
Where we link to other websites, they are not ours and we have no control over them. A link is not a recommendation.
The text, photographs, design and marks on this site belong to SPORTS CLINICAL, or are used with permission. You are welcome to read it, print a page, or share a link. You may not copy it, republish it, sell it, or pass it off as your own. Patient reviews on this site are reproduced with permission and remain the words of the people who wrote them.
We will assess you properly, explain what we think is going on, tell you what we can and cannot help with, and say so plainly if you would be better served elsewhere. Nothing is done without your agreement, and you can stop at any point.
In return we ask you to tell us the truth about your health, including medication and anything you have been told by another clinician, and to tell us if something changes or if something we have done has not agreed with you. We cannot work safely on half the picture.
We do not promise outcomes. Nobody honest does. What we promise is care, attention and honesty about how it is going.
We ask for payment at your appointment, on the day, unless we have agreed something else with you. Where a course of treatment or training is booked as a block, we ask for payment before it starts.
If you cannot make an appointment, tell your practitioner as early as you can: Dean on 07773 814488, Rebecca on 07791 214043, by call, text or email, whichever is easiest. Your notice counts from the moment you send it, not from when we happen to read it. We will confirm we have it, and if you have not heard back, please chase us.
If we can move you to another time in the same week, your payment moves with you rather than being lost. That is at your practitioner’s discretion, and we will usually try.
If you are running late, please still come. We will do what we can with the time that is left, but we will need to finish at your scheduled time, because someone is usually booked in behind you, and the full fee applies.
Why we ask. A slot given up at short notice cannot usually be filled, and that time was set aside for you and nobody else. We would far rather understand than charge, so if something has gone wrong, tell us. Your practitioner can waive any of this, and often does.
If you are a new patient and you arranged your appointment by telephone, text or email rather than face to face, you have a legal right to change your mind within fourteen days and get your money back, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Most first appointments fall inside those fourteen days, so when you confirm an appointment with us you are asking us to begin your care straight away rather than wait. You keep your right to cancel. If you cancel after we have started, we may charge you for the care you have already had. Once your first appointment has taken place, the fourteen day right comes to an end, and the cancellation terms above apply from then on.
Tell us. Please tell us early, and please tell us directly, because almost everything is fixable if we know about it.
Speak to your practitioner first, in person, by telephone or by email. If you would rather not, or you have and it has not been resolved, put it in writing to Dean at info@sportsclinical.co.uk.
We will acknowledge your complaint, look into it properly, and come back to you with what we have found and what we intend to do about it. If we got it wrong, we will say so.
If you are still not satisfied, you can take it to the professional body we are registered with, and you are entitled to do that at any point, whatever we say. A complaint about how we have handled your information rather than your care is dealt with under our Privacy notice.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. We would not want it to. We are insured, and we stand behind our work.
Beyond that: we are not responsible for loss caused by relying on general information on this website in place of being assessed, for websites we do not run, or for losses that were not a foreseeable result of anything we did.
We may change these terms. The version that applies to you is the one in force when you booked. If we change them in a way that affects patients we are still treating, we will tell you rather than leave you to notice.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will deal with any dispute. Nothing here affects your rights as a consumer, which stand whatever any contract says.
